Utila Bay Island - Activities

Utila Bay Island offers diverse activities including windsurfing, water skiing, kayaking, fishing, horse back riding, nature trails, paddle boats, jet skis, sailing, snorkeling, and wakeboarding for those who would rather spend their time above the blue waters of the Caribbean.The prevailing easterly wind provides ideal conditions on the south side of the island for any windsurfing enthusiast. The Eastern Harbour Bay offers the perfect setting for water skiing and wake boarding. For vacationers looking for more of a challenge, the surf off of Iron Shore is also available.



Utila Bay Island also has a triving nightlife scene with a number of bars including CoCo Loco's on the harbor and Bar in the Bush, famous for its Friday Blowout. Utila Bay Island also has great restaurants including a few Italian, one outdoor grill and several serving local cuisine.



There are two public beaches on Utila, one at the old airport located on the east end of the island and the other located at Sandy Bay on the western end of town.



There are two ferry's to the city of La Ceiba on the mainland if you wish to do some site seeing, shopping, water rafting, etc.
